empty-tomb

The Lion Roared
It was dark throughout the land
When Judah’s Lion made His final stand
His throat was parched and dry
When the Lion made His last cry
Into the sky it soared
“It’s Is Finished,” the Lion roared
His best friend was standing there
As He gave His mother into his care
And Mary Magdalene was on her knees
When the Lion made His final plea
Into the sky it soared
“It Is Finished,” the Lion roared
Family and friends witnessed the end
Soldiers and thieves were part of the din
Enemies mocked His urgent prayer
“Father forgive them,” was met with cold stares
Into the sky it soared
“It is finished,” the Lion roared
Hopes and dreams seemed to cease
As blood covered the Lion’s fleece
But as they took His body down
And removed the woven thorny crown
The grave told a heartbreaking story
Until Sunday revealed the Lion’s roar of glory
